Physical Examination
 
Students registering for athletics must have a current physical examination on file in the athletic department before the student is authorized to participate in practice/tryouts. To ensure clearance for participation, physicals should be completed and turned in to the Athletic Director/Athletic Trainer no later than 5 school days prior to the first day of practice/tryouts.
The VHSL (Virginia High School League) physical form has undergone changes, primarily affecting the validity period and form requirements for student-athletes. Beginning July 1, 2025, physicals are valid for 14 months from the date of the healthcare provider's signature on the new form. Students must now submit pages 1-3 of the updated form to their school to be eligible for VHSL sports.
